Our sneakers are made with:

• Recycled plastic from marine waste, transformed into ultra-durable recycled fabric with the help of the SEAQUAL Initiative.

• Recycled rubber, used for our soles and mixed with plastic cap fragments, reducing the consumption of virgin resources.

Transparency and Traceability at ME.LAND

At ME.LAND, manufacturing transparency is a priority. Our sneakers are produced in Portugal, near Porto, by highly skilled artisans. They guaranty us a local production, reducing our carbon footprint, materials sourced within a 20-50 km radius of the factory, a full traceability, thanks to our partnership with the SEAQUAL Initiative, which numbers every recycled fiber made from marine waste. This tracking system allows us to trace each sneaker back to the fisherman or recycling center that collected the waste!

With this approach, we actively contribute to the circular economy and the production of recycled shoes.

1 - Once the plastic waste has been spotted at sea by fishermen, it is sorted and cleaned.

2 - The waste is reduced to shavings or flakes for easier use.

3 - They are then processed into fibers ready to be woven into neoprene nylons, woven, coated...
