The materials used for our vegan shoes

We could have told you about all the categories of alternative materials to leather such as Pinatex (Pineapple leather) or grape leather, but ME.LAND chose the apple... • Recycled nylon: ME.LAND uses nylon from recycled ocean plastics certified by SEAQUAL INITIATIVE. This material helps reduce plastic waste in the oceans, while providing a strong and breathable nylon, ideal for making sustainable sneakers.

• Apple leather: These innovative and biodegradable materials are obtained from residues from the food industry. Apple leather results from waste apple cores and skins recovered after the manufacture of compotes and transformed into a resistant and elegant vegan imitation leather. These leather alternatives are ideal for consumers looking for an alternative to animal leather without compromising on the aesthetics of their shoes.

• Recycled rubber soles: The soles of ME.LAND shoes are made from recycled rubber, reducing the ecological footprint of each pair. She uses scraps from the manufacturing of soles by mixing them with shards of plastic bottle caps. These robust and comfortable soles guarantee a long lifespan for shoes while minimizing the use of new resources by recycling sole rubber and recycled PET.
