Meaker and Heaker: leather sneakers for women and men, low or high-top

Meaker is our low-top leather sneaker, available in suede, leather, and metallic leather. Heaker is our high-top leather sneaker. Both models are unisex.

All models have an ergonomic memory foam insole. The leather naturally adapts to the shape of the foot.

Ultra-lightweight, they will accompany you throughout the day with style and comfort.

At ME.LAND, calfskin takes many forms: smooth, matte patent, glossy, suede. Each finish gives the sneaker its character.

Leather from the food industry

The leathers used for our shoes come exclusively from the food industry and are GOLD RATED certified to protect the environment. We check the origin of every hide with our tanneries: no animal is slaughtered for its skin.

We don't deprive ourselves of leather. We do so by using what is a byproduct of the food industry.

Our leather sneakers are handcrafted in Felgueiras, near Porto, Portugal. The materials are 100% European (Spain or Portugal), most often sourced within a 50 km radius of the workshop.

How to wear leather sneakers?

Leather sneakers easily replace dress shoes. Their sleek lines and stylish touch go just as well with jeans as with a skirt.

They are also suitable for a more formal outfit, with a suit or for an evening out.

How to care for leather sneakers?

• Apply a waterproofing spray before wearing them.
• Clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth.
• Polish smooth leather to restore its shine.
• Machine wash cotton laces.
• Alternate between two pairs to let the leather breathe and prevent it from creasing too much.
