Responsible Sourcing of Leather at ME.LAND
Each leather used in the production of ME.LAND shoes comes exclusively from the food industry. Thus, we control the origin of each hide from our tanneries and ensure that no animal was killed for its skin, but for its meat first and foremost.
Handcrafted, our leather sneakers are made in Porto, Portugal, and our leathers are sourced within 20-50 km of the factory.
Thus, we do not deprive ourselves of using leather, but do so responsibly by using what is a waste product of the food industry. An ethical and thoughtful way to create a leather sneaker.
Durability and Care of Leather Sneakers
