A recycled sneaker for men or women is a shoe designed from recycled materials and/or upcycled materials from the circular economy. Unlike classic sneakers made with virgin leather and plastic, ME.LAND's eco-designed sneakers incorporate components from recycling and upcycling.
Our sneakers are made with:
• Recycled plastic from marine plastic waste, transformed into ultra-resistant recycled canvas with the help of SEAQUAL INITIATIVE.
• Recycled rubber, used for our soles and mixed with plastic cap fragments, it helps reduce the consumption of virgin resources.

Transparency and Traceability at ME.LAND
At ME. LAND, transparency and traceability are inseparable from sustainable and ethical fashion. Each of our sneakers is made in Europe, not far from Porto, Portugal (which ensures the protection of labor rights within the EU), by artisans with extensive expertise. We ensure that each material is sourced within 20/50 kilometers around the factory. To ensure complete traceability, each recycled nylon is numbered by SEAQUAL to ensure monitoring throughout the production chain, from waste to sneaker, and thus comply with the AGEC law!
Our packaging is also environmentally friendly, including our boxes, pouches, and message cards. 1 - Once the plastic waste is recovered from the sea by the fishermen, it is sorted and cleaned.
2 - The waste is shredded into chips or flakes for easier use.
3 - These are then transformed into fibers ready to be woven to obtain neoprene nylons, woven, coated, etc.
