Why Choose Our Eco-Responsible Sneakers?
In a world where becoming an actor in the ecological transition is essential, the principles of a green approach have emerged. The use of biosourced materials such as organic linen, bamboo, ethical wool, sustainable hemp, and even vegan leather has appeared in textile/accessory production to achieve the fairest possible eco-responsible and ethical approach. For the brand, integrating these sustainable innovations into responsible design is a fundamental principle for every sneaker. With common sense, we want to help with the responsible, sustainable, and ethical management of resources: the use of waste. Why produce again what already exists? It all starts there.
We have designed eco-responsible shoes with a view to recycling, using recycled plastic from marine waste like recycled polyester or leather from the food industry. Each sneaker is therefore 100% recycled to enable conscious consumption.
We also use natural fibers and plant-based materials in the design of our sneakers, such as apple leather or organic cotton for our laces or shoe pouches. This has allowed us to be certified by PETA, SEAQUAL INITIATIVE, and OEKO-TEX labels, and to design an ethical, responsible, and committed sneaker for you.
Care Guide for Your Eco-Friendly Sneakers
Extending the lifespan of your shoes starts even before you've worn them. Your sneakers need to be waterproofed so that they can be easily cleaned in case of stains. Use products suitable for the materials present on your shoe: A damp cloth is enough for waterproofed nylon sneakers and for patent leather sneakers. A suede eraser is the ideal product for your suede shoe. Repeat waterproofing your sneakers at least once a month.
Remember that shoes should not be worn every day and it is important to let them "rest" every other day to prevent rapid wear.

ME.LAND is a French footwear brand for women and men. It's a grand adventure launched in 2018 with the ambition to offer a unisex sneaker that is alternative, comfortable, unique, responsible, and low-carbon.
ME.LAND’s commitment to a sustainable future
To ensure a reduced carbon footprint, the brand focuses on the weight of each shoe. This involves working on the weight of the soles of each sneaker. ME.LAND aims to get as close as possible to carbon neutrality. The lightness of a sneaker means reduced carbon emissions during transport and comfort when worn. We also sometimes compromise between lightness and recycling, as some of our soles are fully recycled, but never on comfort.
We could have had sneakers made in France, but we chose Portugal to ensure quality and affordability. We are committed to ethical suppliers who guarantee social responsibility and maintain social transparency by ensuring fair working conditions and decent wages for our artisans, because without them and their shoemaking expertise, we would be nothing. We are committed to an ethical and responsible production approach that respects human rights while advocating for fair craftsmanship. Regular audits are carried out by experts to, among other things, optimize facilities and guarantee respect for the fundamental rights of the artisans who make each sneaker.

The brand aims to offer an ethical sneaker that is part of a conscious and sustainable fashion approach.
This commitment involves programs for repurposing sustainable materials used in the responsible production of our sneakers: cotton, recycled nylons, leather (animal or plant-based) from the food industry, recycled rubber, etc.
By sourcing our materials within 20/50 kilometers around the factory to reduce the environmental impact related to the transportation of each sneaker, but also by the desire to offer the most durable shoes possible.
Where do the materials used for your sneakers come from?
We source our materials within a 20-50 kilometer radius of our factory in Portugal. Our materials come from a circular economy: for leather (animal or plant-based), it's from the food industry, and for the nylons in each sneaker, it's from marine plastic waste retrieved from the waters around the Strait of Gibraltar. This allows us to have a societal impact and offer responsible and ethical footwear for everyone.
How to care for my ME.LAND sneakers to extend their lifespan?
Waterproof your pair of shoes upon receipt, especially recycled canvases and nylons. Regularly clean your sneakers with a damp cloth to prevent stains from setting in.

Exchanges and returns are free throughout Europe. To make an exchange or return, simply send us an email at contact@melandofficiel.com, and we will send you a shipping label so you can return the pair to us and we can proceed with the exchange or return.

Each shoe is made in a factory not far from Porto, Portugal. The brand seeks to highlight the artisans' expertise by promoting this ethical, local, and responsible production.

Yes, we have pairs of shoes suitable for different weather conditions.
Each animal leather sneaker (MEAKER, HEAKER, BEAKER and DEAKER) is ideal for winter, as are our apple leather shoes (LANDER, CHELSEA). Each VIVACE and EVAN sneaker is 100% recycled from marine plastic waste and provides the lightness expected in summer.
How long does it take for ME.LAND sneakers to be delivered?
