NIRMAN the detours of the unexpected
ME.LAND collaborates with artists from the French music scene. Nirman chooses to wear our HEAKER in black and navy for his concerts, a high-top shoe inspired by our iconic sneaker. Style, comfort.
Through natural inclination or inherited transmission, Nirman enrolled in the Conservatory, listened to the Beatles on repeat, and at 13 years old, declared he would be a singer. After a stint in jazz, he released the EP Animal, an album of French songs tinged with hybrid pop and organic electro. In 2020, an album with strong emotional potential received unanimous acclaim. Under the guidance of Da Silva, Nirman didn't chase trends here. It's a timeless record. One song in particular, Azzam David, won the text prize at the Pic d'Or competition in Tarbes and touched Francis Cabrel during a working residency in Astaffort.
A timeless record, then, with nuanced tones and melodies that gently and elegantly insinuate themselves. Ordinary words, moving in their accuracy and simplicity. Just like their performer. Thank you, Dimitri!
