SOMAESTRO the viral rap
ME.LAND is much more than just shoes. From the blend of inspirations, materials, and colors emerges an everyday attitude. The philosophy of this adventure is simple: Stay on track? Follow the rules? Why not. Provided that there's no way to erase one's own character.
ME.LAND collaborates as usual with artists from the French music scene. Somaestro agreed to pose for ME.LAND and chose his own sneakers from the collection.
Sofiane, in his twenties, originally from Tremblay in the 93 region, discovered the piano by chance a few years ago at a flea market. He decided to teach himself to play it to surprise his family for his little sister's birthday. He developed a true passion for the instrument and never let go. While walking in a shopping mall, he came across a piano and started playing it, unaware that his friend was filming him.
Once posted on social media, the video went viral and quickly reached 200,000 views, so much so that Booba, the French rap singer, shared it on his own story. Sofiane then decided to call himself Somaestro on Instagram and continued his momentum by playing the greatest hits of his favorite rappers, such as Ninho, Jul, Damso, and of course Booba, on the piano. Seeing the enthusiasm, and 30,000 subscribers later, Somaestro decided to tell his own story by rapping his life on the piano.
His first single is called "My Piano" and the music video is produced by Kaid Productions, who also produced the videos for 13 Blocks' "Little Heart" and "Fuck le 17".
